London Friend has a wide range of information on various topics relating to LGBT issues. Contact details of GUM (sexual health) clinics in London are listed below.

Our Library has an extensive range of resources, related to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people. These include free leaflets and booklets on:

  • HIV, AIDS and other STI's
  • Safer sex
  • Support information for abuse victims
  • Crime support
  • Alcohol services
  • Religious groups
  • Women's issues
  • Young people
  • Other charities

We also provide free condoms and lube.

As well as the free resources above, we also have books on the following interests:

All our books require a £5.00 deposit when they are borrowed, which is refundable on the books' return.

GUM (GENITO-URINARY MEDICINE) CLINICS

GUM clinics are free and your confidentiality is protected by law. If you wish, you can give a false name. There are over 30 clinics in London and are available to all. They have differing services and opening times and some will offer same-day HIV testing. They will also offer Hepatitis A and B vaccinations to gay men.

Most clinics will also have health advisors, who can talk to you about any worries you may have about your sex life or STI's. Please go to our Useful Links to access other charities that specifically deal with sexual health issues. Here is a list of GUM clinics:
