Macmillan Cancer SupportGMAC - Gay Men Affected by Cancer

This project is supported by a small grant from Macmillan Cancer Support

Change of time and venue: From July, the group will move to the 01st Monday of the Month, 7pm to 9pm

Venue: London Friend, 86 Caledonian Road
(Nearest tube station: Kings Cross)

And then every 01st Monday of the Month at the same time and place…..

GMAC aims to provide peer emotional support, information and guidance to gay men affected by cancer, whether you are or have been a patient, carer, loved one or friend.

You will have the opportunity to talk in confidence, and listen to others who may be going through a similar experience. Some of the issues that have already been mentioned are around one’s partner not being recognised as their carer or next of kin, or feeling uncomfortable in discussing one’s sexuality with a health professional, or living with more than one illness that has been experienced as life threatening.

Please click on How to Find us to see where we are.

If you would feel more comfortable knowing that the volunteers are looking out for a new face, please call our helpline on 020 7837 3337 and our phone workers will be pleased to pass on a message to the volunteers of the group, letting them know to look out for you.

For further information on any group please telephone the help line on 020 7837 3337, from 19:30 to 22:00 daily and 020 7833 1674 during office hours. Alternatively, you can contact us by e-mail at etalk@londonfriend.org.uk
